Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto

The Arms & Armour Gallery at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) has, over the years, become a key feature of the museum, reflecting a deep commitment to preserving and showcasing its distinguished collection. The gallery proudly features an extensive array of armour and weapons spanning the early to late medieval period, offering visitors a unique window into the martial history of Europe.

The casework was specially designed to meet both security and climate control requirements, ensuring the preservation of delicate artifacts while maintaining a visually compelling presentation. The displays evoke a sense of solidity and gravitas, mirroring the historical significance and strength of the collection itself.

Skilled craftspeople were engaged to create custom samples of materials represented in the collection. These bespoke reproductions provide valuable insight into the construction and artistry of the time, further enriching the visitor experience.
